Today, Governor Mike Kehoe signed three executive orders in Jefferson City. These orders aim to streamline government operations, improve stakeholder engagement, and ensure ethical conduct within the administration. The actions are part of the Governor's commitment to fostering effective, transparent, and accountable governance.

"These executive orders demonstrate our administration's commitment and dedication to responsible governance and meaningful reform," stated Governor Kehoe.

The first order, Executive Order 25-11, delegates supervisory authority over specific departments, divisions, and agencies to designated members of the Governor’s staff. This aims to enhance oversight and manage state functions efficiently.

Executive Order 25-12 establishes a comprehensive code of conduct for the Office of the Governor’s staff. It sets clear ethical standards to ensure integrity and professionalism throughout the administration.

The third order, Executive Order 25-13, directs all executive department directors and commissioners to dedicate at least eight hours per month to engage with their agency’s stakeholders. This seeks to ensure decision-making processes are informed by those directly impacted by government actions. Additionally, it prohibits issuing new rules without prior approval from the Governor’s office. This move is designed to reduce red tape and align regulatory decisions with stakeholder needs and state priorities.
