A Fulton, Missouri man has been sentenced to over 15 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking. Clayton Key Craddock, aged 40, received his sentence from U.S. District Judge Brian C. Wimes, who designated him a career offender due to previous felony convictions.

Craddock had entered a guilty plea on February 29, 2024, to one count of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The case against him began when law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence on August 2, 2022. This action followed a tip from a confidential informant who claimed to have witnessed Craddock involved in meth transactions.

During the search, officers discovered four vacuum-sealed bags containing 114 grams of methamphetamine, alongside 24 bags of marijuana weighing a total of 1.4 pounds and $761 in cash.

At the time of his arrest, Craddock was already on probation and parole for distributing a controlled substance and assaulting a law enforcement officer. His criminal record includes three prior felony convictions for possessing a controlled substance and three for resisting arrest. He also has previous convictions for assaulting an officer, kidnapping, domestic assault, and burglary.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Y. Lynn prosecuted the case. The investigation was carried out by the MUSTANG Drug Task Force in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration and local law enforcement agencies including the Callaway County Sheriff's Department and the Fulton Police Department.
