A former resident of Kansas City, Missouri, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for producing and selling child pornography online. Wyatt Christopher Maxwell, also known as "Louis Whitaker," was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Roseann A. Ketchmark on November 20 without the possibility of parole. In addition to the prison term, Maxwell was fined $10,000 and will be required to register as a sex offender upon release.

Maxwell, a nonbinary transgender individual, pleaded guilty on April 17, 2024, to attempting to produce child pornography. After committing the offense in Kansas City, Maxwell moved to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where they adopted the name "Louis Whitaker" while working as a cabaret singer. Following an indictment, Maxwell was arrested in Mexico and has remained in custody since then.

The Overland Park Police Department received tips via the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers tipline in February 2021 about Maxwell's activities involving a 16-year-old victim. According to reports, Maxwell uploaded videos of child pornography to various online platforms. The victim informed investigators that sexually explicit videos were recorded over several months at different locations.

On February 3, 2021, law enforcement agents interviewed Maxwell who admitted uploading videos to OnlyFans and JustForFans accounts. They estimated earnings between $3,000 and $10,000 per month from subscribers. Investigators found numerous videos and images of child pornography on Maxwell's cell phone.

Payments from these accounts totaled $49,151 from OnlyFans and $2,954 from JustForFans with some videos depicting sexual activity involving the victim.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Alison Dunning prosecuted the case which was investigated by the FBI alongside the Overland Park Police Department under Project Safe Childhood—an initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006.
