Governor Mike Parson has signed Executive Order 24-15, which will close state offices in Missouri on Friday, November 29, 2024. This closure comes the day after Thanksgiving and continues a tradition of providing an additional day off for state employees.

In a statement to Missouri state team members, Governor Parson emphasized the importance of family and reflection during the holiday weekend. "Every year, our administration has directed this additional day off," he stated. As he prepares to leave office, he expressed his gratitude for the work done by state employees that contributes to the strength of Missouri's economy and community.

The Governor also took the opportunity to congratulate Governor-elect Mike Kehoe and First Lady-elect Claudia Kehoe. He expressed confidence in their leadership, stating, "The Kehoes are honest, God-fearing people who put faith, family, and freedom at the forefront."

Reflecting on his time in office with First Lady Teresa Parson, Governor Parson noted the progress made over their tenure. "We've made historic strides and are beyond grateful for your efforts in our collective success," he said.

As they approach Thanksgiving with their family, Governor Parson expressed thanks for the service of state employees. "Serving as your Governor and First Lady has been the honor of our lives," he remarked.
