April 2024 Priest Assignment Updates: Changes in Clergy Assignments Announced

A small group of priest assignment updates were approved by Bishop Johnston during the month of April.

According to the announcement, Fr. Christian Malewski has concluded his assignment as Pastoral Coordinator for St. Joseph Catholic Academy, St. Joseph, while retaining his current assignment as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph.

On April 12, 2024, Fr. Peter Ullrich, OSB was appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Peter Parish, Stanberry and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City. These assignments are set to conclude on June 30, 2024, and he will also keep his current assignments as pastor of St. Columbia Parish, Conception Junction, and St. Joseph Parish, Parnell.

Fr. Sebastian Allgaier, OSB, concluded his assignment as pastor at St. Peter Parish, Stanberry, and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City on April 30, 2024.

Starting May 1, 2024, Fr. Sam Miloscia has been appointed Parochial vicar of St. Mark Parish, Independence.

Looking ahead to July 1, 2024, Fr. Karl Barmann, OSB, has been appointed pastor of St. Peter Parish, Stanberry and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City. Meanwhile, Fr. Aquinas Keusenkothen, OSB, will provide pastoral and sacramental care at St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish and Northwest Missouri State University Newman Center, Maryville.

Fr. Christian Malewski will be released to serve as a Spiritual Director at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, concluding his assignment as Pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish on June 30, 2024. The successor for Fr. Malewski at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish will be announced in the near future.

In closing, the announcement asks for prayers for these men in their new assignments.
