Governor Parson Announces Three Judicial Appointments

Governor Mike Parson has revealed the names of three individuals who have been appointed to serve as judges in various judicial circuits in Missouri. Chastidy R. Dillon-Amelung, David A. Roither, and Amanda L. Oesch have been chosen to fill important roles within the 21st, 22nd, and 33rd Judicial Circuits, respectively.

Chastidy R. Dillon-Amelung, a resident of Creve Coeur, has been appointed as Associate Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit. She brings a wealth of experience to the role, currently serving as a traffic court commissioner for the same circuit. Dillon-Amelung's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, law, and rhetoric from Stephens College, a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia, and a Master of Laws in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis. She will be taking over the position left vacant by the appointment of the Honorable Matthew H. Hearne as Circuit Judge.

In the 22nd Judicial Circuit, Governor Parson has appointed The Honorable David A. Roither to serve as Circuit Judge. Roither, hailing from St. Louis, is currently an associate circuit judge for the same circuit. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and a Juris Doctor from St. Louis University. Judge Roither will be stepping into the role previously held by the retiring Honorable Steven R. Ohmer.

Amanda L. Oesch, a resident of Scott City, has been appointed as Associate Circuit Judge for Scott County within the 33rd Judicial Circuit. Oesch is presently working as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Scott County and is also the owner of the Law Office of Amanda L. Oesch. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Missouri State University and a Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University. She is set to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Robert Z. Horack as Circuit Judge.

The appointments of Dillon-Amelung, Roither, and Oesch by Governor Parson mark important developments in Missouri's judicial system, ensuring the continued efficiency and effectiveness of the state's legal processes.
