Saint Luke’s has appointed Sydney McBride as the new president of Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place in Kansas City, Missouri. McBride brings a decade of executive leadership experience from Ohio Living, an organization with 11 communities across Ohio that provides a range of senior living services, including independent and assisted living, rehabilitation, long-term care, memory care, palliative medicine, and home care and hospice.
“Sydney brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of success in skilled health care operations,” said Jani Johnson, MSN, RN, president of Saint Luke’s Central Region. “With a commitment to quality and compassionate care, we are confident that Sydney will expertly lead this vibrant and welcoming community that so many people choose to call home.”
As president, McBride will be responsible for overseeing both the short- and long-term direction of Bishop Spencer Place. She will manage operations while focusing on meeting the needs of residents and supporting surrounding communities. Her background in memory care at Ohio Living is expected to be particularly relevant as Bishop Spencer Place prepares to open a dedicated memory care area this fall for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other related conditions.
McBride holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She started her new role on August 11.
Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place is part of Saint Luke’s Health System and serves as part of the West Region for BJC Health System.
