KCPD, assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, will conduct a Traffic Safety Operation this holiday weekend.
This will take place at locations identified as high-fatality hotspots over the last 10 years. There have been 39 traffic fatalities in KC to date compared to 25 last year.
KCPD and the MSHP will patrol in search of speeders, impaired drivers, and other violations. During last month’s operation, 13 people went to jail for DWI and more than 100 people received tickets.
