Two men have been charged in a methamphetamine trafficking case in Kansas City, Missouri. Ramon Garcia-Parra, 37, a Mexican national, and Abraham Acevedo-Hernandez, 32, of Kansas City, were charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. The charges were filed in the U.S. District Court on June 5, 2025.
According to the complaint, Garcia-Parra and Acevedo-Hernandez allegedly delivered approximately 10 kilograms of methamphetamine during a controlled purchase on June 2, 2025.
In a related matter, Trinidad Garcia-Parra, 40, also a Mexican national and relative of Ramon Garcia-Parra, was charged with illegal re-entry into the United States. He had been removed from the country twice before.
The charges are accusations at this stage and not evidence of guilt. A federal trial jury will evaluate the evidence to determine guilt or innocence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Smith is prosecuting the case. The investigation involved multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kansas City Police Department, and Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
This prosecution is part of the Department of Justice’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Co-located Strike Forces Initiative. This initiative fosters collaboration among various agencies to tackle organized crime effectively.
Additionally, this case falls under Operation Take Back America—a nationwide effort by the Department of Justice aimed at eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime.
