YouTube has joined as the presenting partner for the Kansas City Chiefs' 2025 season kickoff campaign. The partnership comes ahead of the Chiefs’ Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, which will be played at Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil.
"We're thrilled to team up with YouTube as the presenting partner of our season kickoff campaign," said Chiefs President Mark Donovan. "This partnership not only highlights the excitement of opening the season in Brazil but also allows us to connect with fans globally through a platform that's transforming how people experience live sports."
Wes Harris, Director of Connected TV Marketing at YouTube, stated, "From Kansas City to São Paulo, Chiefs Kingdom is a passionate, global fanbase and we're excited to give their season kickoff an international stage. This is more than a game; it's the future of football, and it's open for everyone around the world to enjoy for free on YouTube."
Through this agreement, YouTube receives digital assets and content opportunities designed to promote what will be the first NFL game streamed globally for free on YouTube and on YouTube TV in the United States. The Kansas City Chiefs are four-time Super Bowl champions.
YouTube also acted as presenting partner for Kansas City's second preseason game in Seattle on August 15 and will present “Up The Hill,” a content series filmed during Chiefs Training Camp that will air on official team social channels.
The Week 1 AFC West matchup in Brazil marks the NFL's second annual regular-season game held in that country. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and can be viewed on YouTube, YouTube TV, NFL+, and locally via KSHB.
Leading up to this event are several activities:
- On September 4 and 5, “Chiefs House” opens as an immersive fan hub in São Paulo featuring live entertainment, appearances by former players and cheerleaders, merchandise sales, Kansas City barbecue offerings, and official watch parties. Tickets are available at www.chiefs.com/brazil.
- Red Friday Flag Sales Presented by McDonald's occur September 5 both at local McDonald's locations throughout Kansas City and online at shop.chiefs.com.
- The season opener between the Chiefs and Chargers streams exclusively on YouTube platforms (and locally via KSHB) starting at 7 p.m. CT on September 5.
- The home opener takes place September 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. This game begins at 3:25 p.m. CT and airs nationally on FOX (locally WDAF).
Red Friday celebrations extend this year to both Kansas City and São Paulo as part of efforts supporting local families.
Fans are encouraged to follow ongoing coverage through “The Kingdom,” an ESPN Original Series focusing on the team's previous season, as well as new episodes of “The Franchise,” streaming on the club’s official YouTube channel.
