The match will begin at 12 p.m. CT, with tickets available for $10 through SeatGeek.com. Fans can also watch the game live on MLSNEXTPro.com.
Interim head coach Ike Opara will lead Sporting KC II for a third consecutive match as the team aims to end August positively and build momentum for the remainder of the MLS NEXT Pro season. In July, SKC II recorded back-to-back wins, including a comeback victory against Whitecaps FC 2 in Vancouver.
Medgy Alexandre scored twice in that win and leads SKC II with eight goals this season. Forward Maouloune Goumballe has three assists and three goals and is the only player to start all 22 matches so far. Defender Nati Clarke has appeared in every game this year.
Team captain Cielo Tschantret missed a recent match due to injury but returned last week against St. Louis CITY2, playing the full game. Tschantret has started 21 matches this season and contributed two goals while playing both midfield and defense.
Goalkeeper Jacob Molinaro is available for selection after earning his first call-up to the U.S. Under-19 Men's National Team for a Domestic Identity Training Camp in Fayetteville, Georgia from September 1-8. "Jacob Molinaro has been named to the US #U19MNT roster for a Domestic Identity Training Camp in Fayetteville, Georgia!" according to an announcement from SKCII (@SportingKCII) on August 29, 2025.
Hal Uderitz, who previously played for Rapids 2 and recently signed with SKC II, brings experience from his 27 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro. His brother Beckham Uderitz has made 18 starts for Sporting this season.
Colorado Rapids 2 enters Sunday's contest under head coach Erik Bushey after showing significant improvement compared to last year’s performance. They currently sit third in the Western Conference standings—11 points above the playoff line—with forward Billo Diop leading their scoring with twelve goals and two assists over thirteen starts.
After facing Colorado Rapids 2, Sporting KC II will host Real Monarchs on Sunday, September 6 at Swope Soccer Village.
