Sporting Kansas City is set to play against the Colorado Rapids at Children's Mercy Park on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM CT. The club has released key information for fans planning to attend the match.

Supporters are encouraged to visit Mazuma Plaza before the game, where a range of activities and entertainment will be available. “Come out, explore the Plaza, and kick off gameday the right way!” the club stated.

Children’s Mercy Park will use pyrotechnics and strobe lighting effects during the event. Attendees with medical conditions or light sensitivity are advised to take caution.

Supporter Stand ticket holders and Season Ticket Members are invited to gather in the Budweiser Brew House for pre-match specials and to welcome players as they arrive. “Supporter Stand ticket holders and Season Ticket Members are encouraged to hang out in the Budweiser Brew House for prematch specials and to welcome the players as they arrive at Children’s Mercy Park,” according to Sporting KC.

A themed “Summer’s Send Off” celebration will feature soccer darts, Fun Pops, and a performance by the UMKC Dance team on the Plaza. Fans can also shop for new merchandise at a Sporting Style pop-up before kickoff.

The club highlighted new eSports-themed apparel available for purchase both online (with stadium pickup) or onsite on match day. "Level Up! Rep the game both on and off the field with the new MLS eSports Gaming Pre-Game Top! Also check out the Level Up gaming scarf and t-shirt, and take your style to the next level," Sporting KC said.

SportingStyle stores inside Children’s Mercy Park now feature Amazon Just Walk Out technology at one location (east side, section 131). This allows fans to shop without waiting in checkout lines; purchases are completed by swiping a card at a kiosk upon exit. No pre-registration or Amazon account is required, but Sporting Pay is not accepted at this store.

The official Sporting KC Gameday Guide is available exclusively on Apple Maps, offering details about attending matches at Children’s Mercy Park.

Entry procedures have changed this season with Google Fiber Fast Lanes installed for quicker access. Fans are urged not to bring bags if possible; only clear bags measuring up to 12” x 12” x 6” are permitted after inspection. Backpacks of any kind are prohibited inside the venue. Medical bags or diaper bags must undergo screening as well.

Tickets for all matches are mobile-only through SeatGeek Account Manager. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted; each member of a party should have their own digital ticket ready prior to arrival.

All transactions within Children's Mercy Park are cashless; payments must be made via card or mobile ordering through the Sporting KC app.

Opposing team colors or gear are not allowed in Supporters Stand sections; violators will be relocated elsewhere in the stadium.

Smoking—including e-cigarettes—and smokeless tobacco products remain banned throughout Children's Mercy Park facilities.
