Governor Mike Kehoe has directed that U.S. and Missouri flags be flown at half-staff at government buildings across the state on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in memory of State Representative Kenneth "Ken" Waller. The tribute will last from sunrise to sunset.

Representative Waller died on August 24 at his home after a medical emergency. He was 63 years old.

In a statement, Governor Kehoe said, "Representative Waller was a man of faith, family, and integrity, and his public service reflected those values. Ken represented the citizens of Jefferson County well through both county positions and in his service in the State Capitol. Claudia and I join the family, friends, loved ones, and General Assembly colleagues of Representative Waller in remembering a great man and public servant."

The flag lowering will take place on the day Representative Waller is laid to rest. The Governor’s proclamation can be viewed online.
