Sporting Kansas City II has announced the signing of 22-year-old midfielder Blaine Mabie to an MLS NEXT Pro professional contract. The announcement comes ahead of the team's upcoming game against LAFC 2.

Mabie, who hails from Illinois, played college soccer at Georgetown University. During his time there, he made 66 appearances and contributed three goals and five assists. His efforts helped Georgetown secure two Big East Tournament titles and three Big East Regular Season crowns. Mabie also captained the team in 2024, leading them to a Big East Tournament Championship.

After college, Mabie moved to New Zealand to play for Wanaka FC in the National League. Before that, he developed his skills at Chicago FC United Academy.

Sporting KC II's current roster includes one goalkeeper, three defenders, seven midfielders including Mabie, and three forwards. The team is led by head coach Istvan Urbanyi and will play three matches over eight days starting with LAFC 2 on Sunday.

Blaine Mabie's personal details include a birthdate of January 27, 2003. He stands at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 175 pounds. He was born in Chicago and resides in Winnetka, Illinois.
