Diocese announces day of prayer for sexual abuse survivors

The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph has announced the 2025 Diocesan Day of Prayer in Atonement for Those Harmed by Sexual Abuse, set to take place on April 28 at 12 p.m. The event will be held at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, located at 519 N 10th St, Saint Joseph, Missouri.

For those unable to attend in person, the diocese offers several ways to participate remotely. Individuals are encouraged to attend Mass at their local parish on April 28 or engage in prayer activities such as praying the Rosary for Healing & Protection available through Journeytobethany.org/rosary.

Participants can also pray the Prayer for Healing Victims of Abuse and show support by wearing blue. Questions regarding the event can be directed to ocyp@diocesekcsj.org.
