Jackson County announces personal property declaration deadline and potential penalties

Personal Property Declarations for 2025 are due by March 1, according to a recent announcement. Failure to submit declarations before May 1 may result in penalties ranging from $15 to $105, depending on the assessed value of the account.

For questions regarding Individual Personal Property Declarations, individuals are encouraged to contact the Jackson County Assessment Department at IPP@jacksongov.org or call 816-881-1330. Business owners with inquiries about their Business Personal Property Declaration should reach out via BPAsmt@Jacksongov.org.

Declarations can be filed online.
