Governor Parson appoints two judges to Missouri courts

Governor Mike Parson has announced two judicial appointments in Missouri. The Honorable Virginia W. Lay of Clayton will join the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. Judge Lay, currently a circuit judge in the 21st Judicial Circuit, holds a Bachelor of Arts in American studies from Columbia University and a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis. She steps into the role following the retirement of the Honorable Kurt S. Odenwald.

Additionally, the Honorable Amanda B. McNelley of Kirkwood has been appointed as Circuit Judge for the 21st Judicial Circuit. Previously serving as an associate circuit judge in the same circuit, Judge McNelley holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from St. Louis University and a Juris Doctor from Washburn University. She fills the vacancy left by the retirement of the Honorable Dean P. Waldemer.
