A Lee’s Summit, Missouri man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to the production of child pornography. Markel Anthony Price, aged 34, faces a two-count indictment in Kansas City.

The indictment alleges that Price used a minor victim to produce child pornography on November 18, 2023. Additionally, he is charged with possessing child pornography depicting a prepubescent minor and another victim under the age of 12.

It is important to note that these charges are accusations and not evidence of guilt. The evidence must be presented to a federal trial jury responsible for determining guilt or innocence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Alison D. Dunning is prosecuting the case following an investigation by the Lee’s Summit Police Department.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project combines resources from federal, state, and local levels to locate and prosecute offenders while identifying and rescuing victims.
