Hundreds of Kansas City residents are finding new employment with the City of Kansas City, and jobs are still available. Following a successful job fair, the city is prepared to hire additional employees for careers in municipal government.

Over 200 conditional job offers were made to candidates at the city’s job fair on June 29. This event aimed to connect job seekers with various employment opportunities within the city's departments and saw significant turnout and participation.

"Each job opportunity not only sustains our city but also uplifts our entire community. From the vital work in our Water Department to the green spaces maintained by our Parks Department and the infrastructure improvements led by Public Works, every role contributes to the heart of Kansas City. Join us in building a stronger, more inclusive future for all by exploring the diverse career possibilities our city has to offer,” said City Manager Brian Platt.

While the event has concluded, the City of Kansas City continues to have job openings across all departments. The city provides robust benefits, including a pension plan, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, public service loan forgiveness, and tuition reimbursement.

Salary ranges for full-time employees from $17.37 to $29.98 per hour.
