City of Kansas City MO Health Department - Respiratory Illnesses Like the Cold, the Flu and RSV Have Come Early and Strong in Kansas City

Respiratory illnesses like the cold, the flu and RSV have come early and strong in Kansas City.

The flu/RSV season hasn’t started off this bad since 2017.

Especially concerning:  babies & kids are going to the ER with severe symptoms.

Call your healthcare professional if you or your child is having difficulty breathing, not drinking enough fluids, or experiencing worsening symptoms.
