56 percent of applicants to the University of Missouri-Kansas City were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Missouri-Kansas City, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Kansas City enrolled 16,375 students in fall 2018, including 11,319 in undergraduate and 5,056 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

69 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 27 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (62 percent) and Black or African American (10 percent).

The school admitted 56 percent of the 6,378 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
