69 percent of applicants to the Kansas City Art Institute were admitted for fall 2018

At the Kansas City Art Institute, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 71 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Kansas City enrolled 672 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 9.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

39 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 61 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (63 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (12 percent).

The school admitted 69 percent of the 659 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 30 percent enrolled.
