55 percent of applicants to Avila University were admitted for fall 2018

At Avila University, 73 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Kansas City enrolled 1,649 students in fall 2018, including 1,246 in undergraduate and 403 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

54 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 43 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (51 percent) and Black or African American (22 percent).

The school admitted 55 percent of the 2,623 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
