Sporting Kansas City will travel north of the border to face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, July 26 at BC Place. The match kicks off at 9:30 p.m. and can be watched through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Sporting Kansas City comes into the match after a 1-1 draw against New York City FC last Saturday at Children’s Mercy Park. After being down by a goal in the first half, Sporting made changes to their lineup in the second half. These changes brought new energy and helped produce an equalizer in the 74th minute. Santiago Muñoz was in front of the goal and sent a shot that NYCFC’s goalkeeper managed to clear, allowing Daniel Salloi to find the rebound and tie the game.

Sporting has several key figures for this match including forward Dejan Joveljić who has contributed 13 goals and two assists this season. In midfield, Sporting sees the return of Nemanja Radoja. The midfielder was out for several weeks recovering from an injury but has added minutes in recent matches. His ball control and ability to recover possession are crucial for Sporting in this match. Finally, defense including goalkeeper John Pulskamp will have an important game as Vancouver boasts dangerous forwards, making defensive combinations essential for securing points as visitors.

Vancouver arrives at this match following a 1-1 draw against San Diego FC. The Whitecaps took an early lead with an own goal from San Diego but could not maintain their advantage against their opponent. San Diego scored in the 79th minute, yet Vancouver managed to close out defensively and take home a point.

A key figure for Vancouver remains forward Brian White, who is a leader on the team with 11 goals and one assist for the Whitecaps. White had a great performance in the MLS All-Stars game against Liga MX stars on Wednesday, showcasing his attacking level. Similarly, Sebastian Berhalter continues to grow as a star for the Whitecaps with two goals and four assists this season; he also participated in MLS All-Stars and was part of Team USA during Gold Cup where they finished second.

With both sides looking to earn points and climb up in Western Conference standings, this match promises excitement for all fans.
