Sporting Kansas City II faced a 4-1 defeat against North Texas SC at Children’s Mercy Victory Field. Samuel Sarver scored all four goals for North Texas, while Bryan Arellano netted Sporting’s lone goal with an assist from Pierre Lurot.

The match marked the professional debut of Sporting KC Academy goalkeeper Beau Barren. Despite efforts from players like Maouloune Goumballe and Medgy Alexandre, Sporting struggled to find the back of the net more than once. The team also saw yellow cards issued to Shane Donovan, Nati Clarke, and Beau Barren.

Sporting KC II will soon play three matches in eight days, starting with LAFC 2 on July 27 at Titan Stadium in California. They will then face Whitecaps FC 2 on July 31 and return home to play Austin FC II on August 3. Tickets for home matches are available on SeatGeek.com.
