Sporting Kansas City returns to action after a 2-0 home loss to San Diego FC, the Western Conference leader, last weekend. That match saw the debut of central defender Alan Montes as a late substitute. Montes, aged 24, joined Sporting KC on loan after playing 119 games for LIGA MX clubs Necaxa and Monterrey.
