In their last match, Sporting Kansas City managed a 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake. The upcoming game marks their only road trip in a six-match stretch from June 14 to July 19.
Interim head coach Kerry Zavagnin has led the team to accumulate 19 points with a record of five wins, five losses, and four draws since taking over in March. However, Sporting Kansas City has not won in Colorado since March 29, 2014.
