Sporting Kansas City II will play their fourth consecutive home game against Ventura County FC on May 6. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff at Victory Field, with tickets available through SeatGeek.com and free streaming on MLSNEXTPro.com and the OneFootball app.

This game comes as head coach Lee Tschantret’s squad continues a positive run, having earned results in three of their last four matches. Most recently, Sporting KC II drew Tacoma Defiance 2-2, highlighted by SKC Academy product Shane Donovan scoring his first professional brace.

Donovan currently leads the team with three goals this season and has started all nine of his appearances. Zane Wantland, another SKC Academy player, assisted Donovan’s first goal against Tacoma and is tied for the team lead in assists alongside Carter Derksen. Goalkeeper Jack Kortkamp made his return to the starting lineup on Sunday after being loaned from the first team, while Jacob Molinaro has started nine games this season and ranks second in MLS NEXT Pro with 32 saves.

Defender Pierre Lurot and forward Missael Rodriguez have both started every game for Sporting KC II this year. Lurot has played all 900 minutes so far and shares captain duties with midfielder Blaine Mabie; Rodriguez has contributed two goals over 847 minutes played.

Ventura County FC enters Wednesday’s contest atop the Pacific Division under head coach Matt Taylor, led by top scorer Dylan Vanney with five goals. Goalkeeper Sebastian Colon leads the league with three clean sheets in eight starts and a league-best total of 36 saves.

After facing Ventura County FC at home, Sporting Kansas City II will travel to play Colorado Rapids 2 on May 10.
