Sporting Kansas City II will play against Colorado Rapids 2 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, on March 15. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Central Time and will be available for free streaming on the OneFootball app and MLSNEXTPro.com.

Both teams are looking for their first points of the 2026 season. After this away game, Sporting KC II will have a stretch of seven out of eight matches played at home between March 22 and May 6.

Last season, Rapids 2 won all three meetings with SKC II, including a close contest at Victory Field where a late goal secured the win for the visitors. The two teams are set to meet again later this year, first on May 10 in Colorado and then on August 15 in Kansas City.

In his early tenure as head coach, Lee Tschantret has given significant playing time to Sporting KC Academy players. Defenders Jack Francka and Luca Antongirolami started in the previous match, with Antongirolami making his first professional start at age fifteen. Francka and defender Pierre Lurot have both played every minute so far this season. Lurot was also called up for a short-term stint with the first team against San Diego FC. In that same match, forward Shane Donovan made his Major League Soccer debut as an academy product entering as a substitute late in the game. Zamir Loyo Reynaga also made his first start as a professionally signed player last Sunday after receiving three short-term call-ups previously.

Colorado Rapids 2 enters Sunday’s game following consecutive road losses to Houston Dynamo 2 and North Texas SC. Their only goal so far came from Chris Aquino during their loss to North Texas SC.

After Sunday’s fixture, Sporting KC II will return home for three straight games at Victory Field beginning March 22 against MNUFC 2.
