NYCFC comes into the match after a recent victory against Orlando, with Alonso Martinez scoring the decisive goal. Defensively, they rely on Thiago Martins and goalkeeper Matt Freese. Sporting KC’s offense showed promise in their previous match against Seattle despite a loss.
