A Kansas City, Missouri, resident was sentenced today in federal court for participating in a fentanyl distribution conspiracy. Colt Justin Draggoo, aged 22, received a five-year federal prison sentence, with no possibility of parole, from U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark.
Colt Draggoo had previously pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl on September 12, 2024. He acknowledged selling fentanyl pills and collecting drug money for his brother, Tiger Dean Draggoo, a co-defendant in the case. Between December 29, 2021, and October 22, 2022, Colt Draggoo either brokered or sold around 263 fentanyl pills on his brother’s behalf.
Colt Draggoo is the third defendant in this case to receive a sentence. Previously, on October 16, 2024, Tiger Dean Draggoo admitted guilt to his involvement in the fentanyl conspiracy and faced three counts of distributing fentanyl that resulted in death. Three additional defendants have also pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
The prosecution is conducted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Brad K. Kavanaugh and Robert Smith. The investigation involved several law enforcement agencies, including the Jackson County Drug Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Belton, Missouri, Police Department, the Raymore, Missouri, Police Department, the Cass County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Department, and the FBI.
