Jacob Davis, a 53-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to drug possession with the intent to distribute. The indictment includes allegations that Davis possessed cocaine and cocaine base on March 12, 2025, and over 400 grams of fentanyl on July 8, 2025. These charges arose from search warrants executed at his residence.
On July 8, law enforcement officials served an arrest warrant for the offenses alleged in March. During the arrest process, further evidence of drug trafficking was reportedly observed, leading to another search warrant. This subsequent search resulted in the discovery of approximately three kilograms of powder fentanyl as well as pill presses, scales, and a money counter.
It is important to note that these charges are accusations and not proof of guilt. The evidence must be presented to a federal trial jury responsible for determining guilt or innocence.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather Siegele is prosecuting this case. The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration with support from local police departments in Kansas City, Independence, and Belton.
This case falls under an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States through a coordinated multi-agency approach led by prosecutors.
