Three Kansas City Chiefs players have been named to FOX Sports’ “All-Half-Decade Team,” which highlights standout performers from the past five NFL seasons. The team consists of 12 offensive players, 12 defensive players, and six special teamers.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was recognized for his achievements over the last five years. Ben Arthur, who compiled the squad, described Mahomes as the “GOAT” of this era with four Super Bowl appearances, two rings, and two Super Bowl MVPs. His performance in terms of regular-season record, total passing yards, passing yards per game, and passing touchdowns surpasses other elite quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Joe Burrow.

Tight end Travis Kelce was also included for his exceptional receiving skills at his position. Arthur noted that Kelce’s 12,151 receiving yards rank third-most ever for a tight end. Additionally, his 2,078 postseason receiving yards are second only to Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Defensive tackle Chris Jones made the list as well. Arthur highlighted Jones’ consistent recognition as an AP All-Pro honoree and Pro Bowler every year since the start of the decade. With 47.5 sacks and 200 pressures over the past five years according to Sportradar, Jones is considered by Arthur to have taken Aaron Donald’s crown as the league’s best defensive tackle.

Former Chiefs offensive guard Joe Thuney was also acknowledged for his contributions to Kansas City from 2021-24. According to Arthur’s analysis using PFF data, Thuney had the highest pass-blocking grade among qualified guards each season from 2021-23 and ranked second in 2024.
