A federal grand jury in Springfield, Missouri, has indicted a Honduran national for illegal re-entry into the United States. Henry Ariel Aparicio-Fajardo, 33, faces charges of illegal reentry by a previously removed alien. The indictment replaces an earlier criminal complaint filed on May 20, 2025.

The indictment alleges that Aparicio-Fajardo had been deported from the United States at least once before, with the last removal occurring on December 22, 2022. It is important to note that these charges are accusations and not evidence of guilt. The determination of guilt or innocence will be made by a federal trial jury after reviewing the evidence presented.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Carney is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Enforcement and Removal Operations and Homeland Security Investigations.

This case falls under Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative led by the Department of Justice. The operation aims to address illegal immigration issues, dismantle cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect communities from violent crime. It coordinates efforts through the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
