The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce announced on May 4 that applications are now being accepted for the Centurions Leadership Program’s Apex 2026-2027 Legacy Project. The annual initiative mobilizes Centurions volunteers to complete a project for a local nonprofit, aiming to create lasting benefits for the Kansas City community. The application deadline is Friday, May 8.

The Legacy Project provides an opportunity for area nonprofits to partner with emerging leaders and receive support on impactful projects. Interested organizations can learn more about the project and apply through the Chamber’s website.

In addition to the Legacy Project, several upcoming events have been scheduled as part of the Centurions Leadership Program’s ongoing activities. These include information sessions about joining future cohorts, networking opportunities such as “Grounds for Reconnection” on May 20, and professional development workshops like “From Conflict to Collaboration” led by Haley Grayless on May 28.

Second-year Centurions and their executives are also invited to attend an executive breakfast on June 17 to reflect on accomplishments from the past two years. Alumni engagement continues with events such as an annual alumni meeting set for July 23 at Starlight Theatre.

The Centurions Leadership Program is designed as a two-year experience focused on building community awareness and preparing emerging leaders across Greater Kansas City. According to program materials, its mission is “to prepare a representative cross-section of the community’s emerging leaders for their role in shaping the future of Greater Kansas City.”

As these programs move forward, interested professionals and nonprofits are encouraged by organizers to participate in information sessions or apply directly through provided registration links.
