A former member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, Michael R. Browell, known as “Dirtbag,” has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting in the possession of a stolen firearm. This plea was made before U.S. District Judge Greg Kays in Kansas City, Missouri.
The incident occurred on April 25, 2023, when a member of the Border Saints Motorcycle Gang was confronted by Jeremiah Z. Hahn, also known as “Pass Out,” and Browell in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The confrontation involved demands for the victim to remove his Outlaws support shirt after failing to arrange a meeting with the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang. During this encounter, Hahn took the victim’s Smith & Wesson firearm.
Hahn later pleaded guilty on May 20, 2025, to unlawful possession of the firearm and charges related to assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.
Browell faces up to 10 years in prison without parole under federal statutes. His sentencing will be determined based on advisory guidelines and statutory factors following a presentence investigation by the United States Probation Office.
The case is prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley K. Kavanaugh and Robert Smith and was investigated by several law enforcement agencies including the FBI and local police departments.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), which aims to reduce violent crime through community collaboration and strategic enforcement priorities. It is also part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation targeting high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States.
