The Kansas City Chiefs have made changes to their roster, signing offensive lineman Joey Lombard and tight end Geor’Quarius Spivey. Both players attended the team’s mandatory minicamp on a tryout basis last week. Despite no initial guarantees beyond Thursday’s practice, they impressed enough to secure extended opportunities.

Joey Lombard, a rookie from the University of South Dakota, started 48 games primarily at center during his college career with the Coyotes. He was recognized with All-America honors in 2024. Lombard had previously participated in Kansas City’s rookie minicamp earlier this offseason and will now continue to showcase his skills during training camp next month.

Geor’Quarius Spivey returns for another chance with the Chiefs after being part of last year’s training camp before being waived in final cuts. Since then, he has played with the Houston Roughnecks in the UFL.

In related moves, the Chiefs released offensive guard Tremayne Anchrum and waived tight end Kevin Foelsch.
