Chiefs announce new signings and releases ahead of 2025 NFL season

The Kansas City Chiefs have made several roster changes ahead of the 2025 NFL season. The team has signed tight end Robert Tonyan, formerly of Indiana State, from the practice squad to an active roster contract.

Additionally, the Chiefs added six players to their practice squad: defensive end Ethan Downs (Oklahoma), running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (Louisiana State), defensive tackle Brodric Martin (Western Kentucky), defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (South Carolina), safety Jammie Robinson (Florida State), and defensive end Tyreke Smith (Ohio State).

The organization also announced the termination of practice squad contracts for two players: defensive tackle Coziah Izzard (Penn State) and wide receiver Hal Presley (Baylor).
