The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program announced on April 27 a series of upcoming events, including panels, leadership sessions, and social gatherings, as well as the opening of applications for its annual Legacy Project. The program aims to engage local professionals in civic opportunities and community issues that affect the Greater Kansas City area.
These initiatives are designed to encourage community involvement and support emerging leaders in their efforts to shape the region’s future. The announcement highlights opportunities for networking, professional development, and discussions on important topics such as immigration, leadership authenticity, urban renewal policies, conflict resolution, and local strategic planning.
Among the scheduled events is an advocacy panel on immigration set for April 30. The session will address challenges and opportunities related to immigration in Kansas City. Other featured programs include a Leadership Up Close conversation with Dr. Rochelle Parker focusing on professional alignment in leadership roles; a symposium screening of “Land of Opportunity: The Road of Resistance” with filmmaker Nico Giles discussing urban renewal impacts; workshops on conflict resolution led by Haley Grayless; networking socials at T-Shotz; coffee meetups for alumni reconnection; and an Issues Up Close panel examining comprehensive plans across the metropolitan area.
The Centurions Leadership Program also opened applications for its 2026-2027 Legacy Project. Each year, volunteers from the program select one nonprofit organization in Kansas City to receive support through a long-term community benefit project. This opportunity is available to all area nonprofits interested in partnering with Centurions volunteers.
