BJC Health System has announced the appointment of Scott Hawig as the new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective September 15, 2025. Hawig will take over from Chuck Robb, who is retiring after nearly 35 years with BJC Health System and Saint Luke’s.

Hawig’s responsibilities will include overseeing finance-related functions such as financial management, planning, accounting, revenue cycle, supply chain, risk management, market network services, treasury services, and investments for the health system.

Previously, Hawig was with Froedtert ThedaCare Health, Inc., where he held roles including executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer. His past experience also includes senior leadership positions at Shands HealthCare at The University of Florida and Duke University Health System.

Rich Liekweg, CEO of BJC Health System said: “Scott’s proven leadership in health care finance management will be instrumental in ensuring BJC continues to meet the needs of our communities and provide exceptional care.” He also acknowledged Robb’s contributions to the industry over his career.

Robb has received several professional honors including being named among Kansas City Business Journal’s CFOs of the Year in 2021.
