R. Matthew Price has been appointed as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, according to an announcement made by Attorney General Pamela Bondi on August 1.

Price’s career includes experience as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jefferson County, Missouri, and as an Assistant Circuit Attorney in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office. In 2008, he joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee as a Criminal Assistant U.S. Attorney.

After his tenure with the Department of Justice, Price worked in the private sector as a Senior Attorney for a Fortune 100 company and later served as Lead Counsel for Compliance, Investigations & Government Litigation. In this role, he oversaw internal investigations and managed global compliance projects.

In 2014, Price became Chief Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Germantown, Tennessee. He then returned to corporate legal work at another Fortune 100 company where he was promoted from Senior Counsel to Managing Counsel and directed complex investigations related to government inquiries.

Most recently, Price served as Chief Legal Officer for a large corporation based in Missouri.
