In 2017-2018, 1.3 percent of Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Metropolitan Community College-Kansas City has a total student body of 16,351 students, of which 59 percent are women and 41 percent are men. Of these students, 123 men and 88 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.
