Bishop Johnston has approved a series of priest assignment updates during the month of April, affecting several parishes and missions in the area. These changes, set to take effect on different dates, bring new responsibilities and transitions for the clergy involved.

Fr. Christian Malewski's assignment status was addressed by Bishop Johnston, who stated, "Fr. Christian Malewski has concluded his assignment as Pastoral Coordinator for St. Joseph Catholic Academy, St. Joseph. He retains his current assignment as pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, St. Joseph."

Another significant change involves Fr. Peter Ullrich, OSB, who has been appointed as Parochial Administrator of St. Peter Parish, Stanberry, and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City. Bishop Johnston specified that these assignments will come to a close on June 30, 2024, while Fr. Ullrich will continue to serve as pastor of St. Columbia Parish, Conception Junction, and St. Joseph Parish, Parnell.

Fr. Sebastian Allgaier, OSB, is also part of the updates as he concludes his assignment as pastor at St. Peter Parish, Stanberry, and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City.

Looking ahead to July 1, 2024, Fr. Karl Barmann, OSB, will take on the role of pastor at St. Peter Parish, Stanberry, and St. Patrick Mission, Ford City. His current responsibilities at St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish and the Newman Center at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville will wrap up on June 30, 2024.

Additionally, Fr. Aquinas Keusenkothen, OSB, has been assigned to provide pastoral and sacramental care at St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish and the Northwest Missouri State University Newman Center in Maryville.

As these changes unfold, the community is encouraged to keep these priests in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate their new assignments in service to the Church.
